  • Job Summary

    We are seeking a Sales Representative to work in our Government Investment Pool Division located in downtown Dallas. As our Sales Representative you will be responsible for new business development and business retention for Local Government Investment Pools (LGIPs) sold to cities, school districts, counties and other municipalities within a geographic territory.

    Essential Functions


    • Contacting and meeting with prospective entities to develop relationships and educate them on investment products with a focus on cash management solutions
    • Establishing and maintaining a prospect pipeline through daily phone and email prospecting efforts to generate new business opportunities
    • Creating and owning prospect follow‐up plans and establishing and maintaining independent ownership of deliverables as needed while working with the team to coordinate and standardize responses
    • Maintaining relationships with existing clients to ensure satisfaction and retention
    • Representing the firm at various participant conferences
    • Effectively providing presentations as requested to governing board of prospective government entities by clearly articulating the key characteristic, attributes and value proposition of investment products
    • Providing status reporting of territory information to Program Administrator and other special projects as requested
    • Overall effectively managing the sales process and closing business in order to generate revenue and drive business growth consistent with business objectives


    Job Requirements


    • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business or related field with a minimum of 2 years of recent, relevant financial product sales experience preferably selling to institutional investors within a defined territory. 
    • Related experience in the financial services, securities industries or within the financial/municipal/investment advisory sector(s) are highly desirable.
    • Demonstrated ability to generate revenue and drive business growth consistent with business objectives
    • Candidate should possess a Series 7 or 52 FINRA license.
    • Ability and desire to travel up to 60% of the time including some overnight travel
    • High degree of professionalism with colleagues and clients
    • Demonstrates unwavering personal ethics and integrity
    • Candidate needs to possess excellent communication (written and verbal), negotiation, relationship management and organizational skills
    • Ability to effectively build relationships, establish and maintain credibility and instill confidence in others; present financial information to diverse audiences in a compelling manner; actively listen to others and convey information clearly and concisely to groups and individuals.
    • Independent and self‐motivated with ability to provide accurate, timely follow‐up and effectively manage details and multiple priorities while meeting deadlines and production quotas.
    • Ability to operate successfully in a team environment through willingness to work cooperatively within in a small, tight knit and highly motivated group regardless of the task
    • Enthusiastic, positive and unflappable “can‐do” attitude
    • Working knowledge of MS Office including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
