    PrimeLending is currently seeking a Business Analysis Manager that will be responsible for providing hands-on management and leadership on organizational initiatives to a team of Business Analysts, while occasionally participating as a seasoned Business Analyst for their own set of projects. This position will ensure that correct business functionality, requirements, and industry standards are addressed to provide the most efficient solutions. We are looking for a Manager that possesses excellent leadership and coaching abilities, along with deep knowledge of process and who can translate business needs into technology requirements. We’re also seeking someone that will lead our team to successfully deliver high quality deliverables, helping them grow, while developing your own leadership skills.

    Essential Functions

    • Review and provide guidance on the development of business, functional and system requirements; to ensure adherence to best practices and consistency, including requirements solicitation and expectations, and on meeting quality and deadline needs. This includes documents for Agile and Waterfall methodologies such as: business requirements documents (BRDs), user stories, process flows and sequence diagrams.
    • Collaborate with business leads, including senior management, to understand business processes and the challenges facing the organization, so they can help develop, test, and deploy successful products and applications that satisfy those identified business needs.
    • Oversee and manage the in-depth feasibility research, opportunity assessment creation and analysis of proposed projects
    • Ensure that the business analysis team is aware of overlapping requirements amongst portfolios and guide on when and how to incorporate them in the current body of requirements.
    • Ensure business analysis team evaluates information gathered from multiple sources, decomposes high-level information into details, and distinguishes user requests from the underlying true needs.
    • Establish project specific standards for requirements analysis and documentation that ensures compliance to customer standards while efficiently addressing project needs
    • Conducts regular meetings with Analysts to ensure consistent communication and that any issues are discussed
    • Plan staffing levels; work with Human Resources to recruit, interview, select, hire and employ an appropriate number of employees
    • Lead employees to meet organization’s expectations for productivity, quality and goal accomplishment
    • Manage the overall operational, budgetary, and financial responsibilities and activities of the department
    • Excel at planning and allocation of resources to effectively staff and accomplish the work to meet departmental productivity and quality goals
    • Make strategic business decisions that are financially responsible, accountable, justifiable, and defensible in accordance with organization policies and procedures
    • Review performance data to monitor and measure departmental productivity, goal achievement, and overall effectiveness
    • Provide effective performance feedback to enable the growth and development of business analysis team members
    • Other duties as assigned or required

     

     

    Job Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Technology or Analytical techniques required
    • Minimum 8 years proven and progressive experience with business operations or systems development or equivalent, including awareness of industry trends, competitive pressures, changing business and operational needs and external influences required
    • Minimum 5 years’ experience Business Analysis experience required
    • 4+ years of experience in a related leadership position
    • Experience with System Development Life Cycle methodologies (both Agile & Waterfall)
    • Business Analysis certifications preferred
    • Prior supervisory experience required
    • Demonstrated knowledge of Business Process Re-engineering concepts and methods; multiple requirement gathering techniques and documentation including use case and user story development
    • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
    • Excellent inter-personal, conflict management skills and the ability to handle delicate situations with diplomacy and tact
    • Excellent strategic thinking, business acumen, and accountability
    • Ability to establish strategic technical direction, translate concepts into actionable, implementation plans and identify technologies that improve productivity
    • Demonstrated excellent analytical skills and strong detail orientation
    • Demonstrated judgment, and decision making ability with the ability to negotiate and influence decision making
    • Excellent PC skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
    • Experience with JIRA, TFS, Test Rail or similar tools preferred
    • Displays excellent time management, organizational and problem-solving skills
