  • Job Summary

    The Teller/Courier/CSR will be cross-trained to perform in a Teller, Courier and a Customer Service Representative capacity in order to provide adequate support and coverage for their assigned branch(s), market and/or region.

    Essential Functions

    Teller:

    1. Provides excellent customer service by completing transactions such as cashing checks, receiving deposits, making withdrawals, receiving loan payments, making credit card advances, and preparing change orders for, etc.
    2. Sell products such as Money Orders and Official checks as well as assisting customers with other product needs.
    3. Balances cash drawer and other receipts daily, as well as ATM (Automatic Teller Machine) when required.
    4. Processes various night-drop and mail transactions as needed.
    5. Wraps and bags coin, verifies currency, mixes new currency and turns-in mutilated currency.
    6. Performs miscellaneous duties such as filing, answering phones, maintaining supplies, etc.

    Courier:

    1. Utilizes company provided automobile to pick up and delivery deposits and other items from off-site business customers as scheduled either on an assigned route or as requested.
    2. Performs role in compliance with the courier manual and all company policies and procedures.
    3. May assists customers with questions and is responsible for escalating customer questions and/or concerns to appropriate party (courier supervisor or branch manager).
    4. Maintains all vehicle services as described in the courier manual such as, but not limited to, oil changes, tire rotations, car washes, etc.
    5. Musts understand and adhere to all traffic laws.
    6. Maintains daily logs and records of courier services performed.
    7. Performs a variety of general clerical tasks such as completing personal expense reports, monthly recap reports, etc.

    CSR:

    1. Greets customer and makes personal introduction.
    2. Assists customers with opening accounts, processing check orders, issuing Visa check cards,
    3. Provides customer service and maintenance on existing accounts.
    4. Explains various account options for checking, savings, certificates of deposit, safe deposit and Individual Retirement Accounts.
    5. Probes for pertinent financial information to assess customer’s needs and then guides customers to best product.
    6. Inputs customer information and prepares required documentation to open new account.
    7. Reviews and explains required account documentation with customer and obtain their signature.
    8. Places check orders for customers.
    9. Produces Visa check cards for customers.
    10. Enters customer information into On-Line Banking database.
    11. Answers customer calls.

    All:

    1. Ability to work and adapt to changing organizational and operational needs and take on additional duties and responsibilities as needed.

    Job Requirements

    • High School diploma, general education degree (GED), or equivalent required.
    • 1 or more year retail customer service, cash handling, or banking experience.
    • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
    • Excellent customer service skills.
    • Excellent analytical, time management, organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to multi-task and work in a deadline-driven environment.
    • Excellent PC skills, including word processing and spreadsheets via Microsoft Office products as well as custom applications and systems.
    • Good math and calculator skills.
    • Detail oriented with the ability to stay focused during interruptions and distraction.

    Certificates Required: Valid State Driver’s License
