  • Job Summary

    The Director, HRIS will have the strategic and operational responsibility for the effective and efficient utilization of the company’s HR applications, with support of IT. The incumbent will direct a team of professionals responsible for providing “one face to the customer” for HR solutions. Through training, documentation and effective communication, the Director, HRIS will direct efforts to ensure all HR users understand and comply with standard HR processes, data standards, and benefits. This role will additionally be responsible for developing and maintaining HR self service capability and designing, assigning and managing user security for HR applications. The Director, HRIS owns HR reporting, and is responsible for designing and delivering standard reports, metric dashboards, reporting bundles, and ad hoc reports.

    The Director, HRIS will work closely with:

    • HR and IT organizations to effectively design and manage best in class HR applications and reporting capabilities.
    • HR organization to drive the adoption of standard HR processes supported by standard HR solutions. Responsible for defining and enforcing HR data standards.

     

    Essential Functions

    • Maintain current HRIS Platform and associated systems (current systems and relationships include ExponentHR, iCIMS, Tracker, and PeopleFluent)
    • Negotiate priorities and support requirements based on the business needs within the HR department and overall Hilltop Holdings enterprise
    • Develops and implements the HR Technology Roadmap including self-service portal capability, data standards, reporting, metrics, security, and production support.
    • Manages the HR vendor relationships including but not limited to the RFP process, budgeting and contract management
    • Design and implement training programs related to HRIS, making sure change management is in place for new processes and procedures related to HRIS
    • Over sees regular HRIS data audits to insure system accuracy or to determine areas in need of additional training or changes
    • Design and deliver standard reports, metric dashboards, reporting bundles, and ad hoc reports
    • Contributes in the HR governance process.
    • Provides input into the HR and IT HR/Payroll Support strategic planning process and development of organizational policies, processes, and best practices.
    • Partners with vendors and stays current in system communities to provide best practices and solutions for all employees.
    • Collaborates with HR to recommend third party vendor solutions to meet HR requirements and strategies.
    • Builds strong working relationships with HR leadership in order to ensure requirements and considerations are being incorporated into long-term plans as well as day-to-day services.
    • Interface and partner with IT organization to ensure the effective integration of HRIS with other business applications.
    • Manage HRIS documentation for various audit purposes.
    • Address end-user application support issues.

     

    Job Requirements

     

    • Level of Education REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree
    • 10+ years of professional experience consisting of tenure in a combination of Technology (application development), Human Resources Information Systems, Human Resources (business), Project Management and/or Consulting.
    • Deep Enterprise Systems experience, with a focus on HR systems implementations.
    • Experience providing standardized HRIS systems and processes for a minimum employee base of 5,000.
    • Must work well, both independently and with a team.
    • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and successfully manage a rapidly changing environment.
