Job Summary

The Security/Audit Group is comprised of experienced technology professionals and is responsible for the follow areas: administration of the Security Awareness/Education program, Physical Security, Web Content Filtering, Identity Management, Vulnerability Scanning, coordination of Penetration Testing, as well as the development and maintaining of corporate IT Security Policies & Procedures. In addition to conducting IT Risk Assessments, ensuring compliance with various regulatory entities and working closely with l IT Security Audit staff as well under the defined corporate security posture for the enterprise.

 

The Sr. IT Security Analyst will provide support in the establishing of enterprise-wide security initiatives as required by various applications that compose our corporate network. The Security Analyst must have strong oral and written documentation and communication skills, to work with customers, management, auditors and regulators concerning IT business controls and procedures.  This position should bring prior analytical problem-solving skills, sound judgement, knowledge and expertise in all areas of IT Security in order to provide second level support and troubleshooting.  In addition, demonstrate a technical background and knowledge of system security processes, such as authentication practices, security administration and familiarity with industry standard hardware and software systems.

Essential Functions

  • Establish and maintain access to our corporate trading application.
  • Perform technical analysis and troubleshoot application entitlement issues.
  • Prepare, perform and present IT risk assessments, with recommendations to management both verbally and written.
  • Evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of IT Security processes and controls in place ensuring confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data.
  • Possess and maintain technical expertise in IT Security of areas in which responsible, keeping abreast of industry security trends and developments.
  • Coordinate and monitor the effectiveness of the security awareness-training program.
  • Assist in the development of innovative and creative ideas to formulate risk mitigation and remediation plans and approaches to ensure compliance with various regulatory bodies.
  • Monitoring, detecting, preventing and responding to system security incidents & intrusion.
  • Formulating & Implementing network security policies and procedures.
  • Monitoring security advisory groups to ensure all necessary network security updates, patches and preventive measures are in place.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years hands on experience in IT Security.
  • Working knowledge of client/server networking and Microsoft software products, SQL, SharePoint, Excel, Word and Outlook. 
  • Experience with security tools, such as vulnerability scanners (application, database and network) web content filtering, firewalls (application and network) and HID card systems is a plus.
  • Financial services-industry experience and familiarity with applicable regulations is a plus.  
  • Must be detail oriented with ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks.
  • Encompass strong analytical and problem-solving skills in Customer Service.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to initiate projects.
  • Understanding of risk evaluation and internal controls, in the various areas of Information Technology.
  • Familiarity with the regulatory controls for SOX404 and/or SSAE16, FFIEC, based on COSO & COBIT desired.
  • CISSP, CISM or CRISC certification desired; non-certified hires with other certification, credentials, or experience may be more relevant than the listed certifications and therefore may be acceptable substitutes.
