Job Summary

The Procurement Data Analyst is responsible for the maintenance of all vendor and internal business user data. Further, this role will provide ongoing maintenance/updates for all corporate catalogs and will take the lead for supplier enablement activities. The Procurement Data Analyst will be a member of the Enterprise Procurement team and will serve as the primary point of contact for vendor and internal customer support.

Essential Functions

  1. Maintain supplier master data, commodity tables and catalogs and create templates as required
  2. Work within the HTH procurement team to identify vendor master data improvement opportunities including data intake, maintenance, what data we capture for reporting, etc.
  3. Responsible for ensuring seamless integration with suppliers into the Ariba portal once the supplier is approved by procurement and vendor risk management. Activities include monitoring the supplier enablement setup process and validating that new suppliers are set up and active in the P2P and ERP systems.
  4. Assist Procurement and Corporate Accounts Payable with maintaining approved vendor lists, highlighting preferred suppliers
  5. Maintain a consistent taxonomy for commodities and supplier master data and triage exceptions
  6. Contribute to requirements for standard operating procedure (SOP) for vendor master data and supplier management
  7. Produce monthly reports to identify duplicate suppliers or suppliers with inaccurate information and reconcile erroneous data with accurate data for suppliers
  8. Support the uploading, sorting, and analysis of Accounts Payable information and execute finance reconciliation and adjustment activities according to defined procedures
  9. Perform monthly data cleansing activity for Spend Visibility
  10. Validate data obtained from internal systems before submitting to vendor for load into Ariba (user, cost center, commodity tables, etc)
  11. Communicate performance against metrics/SLA’s/KPI’s to management
  12. Serve as a liaison between procurement, suppliers and business groups
  13. Analyze and resolve supplier and internal business customer system and process issues
  14. Works effectively in a strong customer service/team oriented environment by building and maintaining strong relationships across the organization
  15. Additional duties may be assigned as required

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Supply Chain Management, or other related field OR equivalent relevant experience required
  • Familiarity with Ariba Procure-to-Pay application systems and associated data maintenance and table structures strongly preferred
  • Significant procurement data validation, maintenance, configuration and reporting experience
  • Deep experience with and understanding of supply chain transactions, contract support and source to pay processes
  • Previous experience preferred in supply chain analytics, supply chain technology and vendor master data management
  • Excellent computer skills, specifically with Microsoft Office suite of products (with a strong focus on Excel and Access) and the ability to learn and utilize custom configured systems and applications
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of individuals across the company as well as external business partners. Must be able to collaborate with others effectively and have refined customer service skills.
  • Excellent analytical, time management, organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to multi-task and work in a deadline-driven environment
  • Self-motivated with strong attention to detail and high level of accountability
  • Demonstrated general business aptitude
