Job Summary

The Talent Acquisition Manager is responsible for full-cycle recruiting utilizing a holistic and strategic approach to identify and attract top candidates to meet business needs. This role will be responsible for building and managing a high functioning shared services Talent Acquisition team that will own all aspects of Hilltop Holdings’ non-producer recruiting.

Essential Functions

  1. Develop recruitment strategy including job posting optimization, recruiting marketing channel development, job board procurement, digital and non-digital employment marketing, comprehensive recruitment campaign planning, etc.
  2. In partnership with Hilltop Holdings leaders and the firm’s long-term strategies identify future talent needs and develop a talent pool
  3. Create and lead new talent acquisition team—to include hiring team members, development of consistent practices, measurement of performance, and development opportunities
  4. Maintain an individual level of open requisitions while assessing the best distribution of remaining requisitions among the team
  5. Work with internal teams and hiring managers to assist with recruitment efforts to include sourcing, initial assessments, interviews, and offers
  6. Provide recruitment guidance to hiring managers with hiring and employment data; develop specialized or competitive intelligence and research in regards to talent acquisition or retention in key functional areas
  7. Use social media, job boards, Internet sourcing, and other technical means to source candidates for open jobs
  8. In partnership with line of business HR and Recruiting teams, develop college recruiting programs to ensure holistic exposure of Hilltop Holdings and subsidiary companies
  9. Responsible for developing and maintaining an applicant/candidate recruiting experience that reflects HTH’s culture and values
  10. Lead HTH efforts to use and maximize the tools within an applicant tracking system (ATS) and other recruiting platforms to track applicants through the selection phase to on-boarding
  11. Develop and maintain relationships with third party recruitment agencies, staffing firms and recruitment vendors and manage the procurement and measurement process
  12. Training and coaching managers on the Targeted Selection behavioral interviewing process for shared services roles

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Business or other related field strongly preferred
  • Must have at least 7 years of progressive experience in Human Resources with a focus on recruitment activities; at least 2 of these years must have been in a recruiting/talent acquisition management role; financial services recruiting is preferred
  • Proven experience in full-cycle recruiting, sourcing and employment branding
  • Advanced understanding of employment selection methods and techniques
  • Proficient in the use of social media and job boards
  • Ability to understand the duties and competencies of different roles
  • Maintain highest level of professional ethics through the recruitment process and vendor interactions
  • Excellent PC skills including Microsoft Office suite required; Advanced Excel skills desired
  • Working knowledge of applicant tracking systems (ATS); direct experience with iCIMS preferred
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization required
  • Demonstrated success as a leader and strategic thinker
