  • Job Summary

    The Commercial Loan Officer II is responsible for soliciting and servicing a variety of commercial loans. Interviews applicants and recommends approval of customer applications for commercial loans. Increases company base by developing and managing a portfolio of commercial loans to small and medium-sized businesses.

    Essential Functions

    1. Develops commercial business with existing customers and new customer prospects.
    2. Assesses risk and structures loans, including lines of credit, inventory, accounts receivable, equipment and commercial real estate loans.
    3. Identifies and develops potential commercial lending opportunities within an assigned market segment.
    4. Develops multi-family portfolio.
    5. Cross sells other bank products and services.
    6. Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
    7. Contributes to the team effort by performing other job-related duties as assigned.

    Job Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Finance or related field required.
    • 3 to 5 years’ experience in managing a commercial loan portfolio with a proven track record in sales ability/aptitude and business development.
    • Must be self-motivated with strong initiative, high level of accountability and attention to detail.
    • Demonstrated skills in organization, flexibility in scheduling and resourcefulness are required.
    • Travel to develop and maintain customer base, ability to produce various documents on industry-related software required.
    • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication and skills.
    • Excellent PC skills, including word processing and spreadsheets via Microsoft Office products as well as custom applications systems.
    • Excellent analytical, time management, organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to multi-task and work in a deadline-driven environment.
